12 YEAR NICU ANNIVERSARY!! 4-7-2020

Today is Sydney's 12 year NICU Anniversary.  We were all talking about Sydneys 5 1/2 month NICU stay and we told the girls that one night we were not able to go because there was an ice storm. I was devastated I couldn't go into see Syd.  The nurses were beyond amazing and always made me feel better.  All the staff took such great care of Syd like she was their family.  I cant imagine what the parents are going thru right now not being able to go into the NICU to see their baby/babies.  I  do know that the nurses are making sure they are loved and cared for. 

We send love and good health to all of our family and friends.  Sending lots of love to the NICU staff who we have a special place in our hearts for.

Happy 12th Birthday Sydney!!!

I can't even believe Sydney is 12.  I remember being in the NICU month after month feeling like we are never going to get out of here.  Sydney started middle school and is absolutely loving it.  She is dancing, playing on a club lacrosse team,

going to Camp Pembroke full summer and is starting to get ready for her Bat Mitzvah.  Most of all Syd has the biggest heart, is an awesome friend, and one amazing girl!
Sydney has come so far and it is just so hard to believe from where we started at 1lb 9 ounces and a NICU stay for 5 1/2 months! She is truly a miracle!

NICU TO MIDDLE SCHOOL

I cant even believe..........

1.We have a middle schooler!

2. A 26 weeker and over 5 months in the NICU I never could have even imagined Middle School!

Sydney and Eden switched elementary schools this year and did it with such grace, happiness, excitement and truly both grew so much.  They had amazing teachers and worked so hard.  Syd and Eden did awesome in dance, lacrosse, and most of all did it with a SMILE.  We are ready for a summer full of adventures in London and Paris and back to their second home Camp Pembroke.

Sydney turns 11

 Sydney is 11! I cant even believe how fast time flies! When we were in the NICU for over 5 months i thought we were never leaving.  She is truly a miracle.  I know I say it every post but I think back to the week I had her 11 years ago and how scared I was and truly had no idea the roller coaster we would go through that first year.  Syd is a strong girl with a huge heart!
